Both our fabrics are made by waxed cotton innovators, Halley Stevensons and are built for hard use. The choice comes down to whether you prefer the traditional wipe-clean waxed finish or the convenience of machine washing.

Classic Waxed Cotton

Our original Fieldware apron, made from Halley Stevensons ‘Classic’ wax with a protective finish.

• Wipe-clean surface

• Water and stain resistant

• Tough and hardwearing

• No machine washing

• Do not iron

Best for: workshops, blacksmiths, woodworking, cooking over fire, and anyone who wants the most durable, low-maintenance apron.

Washable ‘Dry’ Waxed Cotton

Made from Halley Stevensons' innovative Hybrid Aero Wax fabric.

• Softer, more natural feel

• Tough and hardwearing

• Machine washable at 30°C

• Light iron if needed

• Water and stain resistant

• Retains the character and durability of waxed cotton

Best for: makers, florists, baristas, chefs, and anyone who prefers the convenience of machine washing.

Both are incredibly hardwearing and will age gracefully with time and wear creating a unique patina totally original to the owner.
